Monuments are end-game structures, each requiring focusing on a distinct area of the Tech Tree, a symbol of mastery. Constructing one requires significant investment, but the pay-off is equally significant as each imparts powerful benefits upon your settlement.
In addition, constructing one of the monuments triggers Farthest Frontier’s flexible victory conditions, an acknowledgement of how far your efforts have come! The journey does not need to end there though, as you can continue playing the save for as long as you wish.
Civic
For a Civic Monument, you will want to concentrate your efforts upon improving your people’s health, providing for their basic needs, and beautifying the settlement. A Civic Monument not only greatly accelerates how fast your villagers can construct and relocate buildings, but also greatly expands your options for beautifying the settlement.

Economic
To earn an Economic Monument, your settlement will specialize in the trade of goods, maximizing profits from both manufactured and agricultural resources.
